PC gamers would have never faced such a period of frustration anytime before when they were made to wait for about an year to release this master piece for PC. GTA4 is undoubtedly the best game in the world. Except for its performance degradation which happens with every game when ripped for PC, this game still satisfies the over expectations of  every GTA addict.

Niko Bellic is the new hero and yeah , he is a cool protagonist as other GTA heroes. The notable feature here is the story mode is not fixed. You have a choice of actions and its YOU who decide what to do here. The story is character-driven and it is the best a game like GTA 4 can offer.

Additionally Rockstar have come up with multiplayer options that allow a maximum of 32 players to go explore and rock the city simultaneously. The radio and tv shows are no more dumb and need not be edited. The developers have taken much pain to make them very lively and as funny as it could be. The characters, the dialogues are at their best. The radio stations are customizable and the user can play their own tracks.

The gameplay time ranges from 25 to 32 hours and it is not just a cake walk. Stealing a car is not easy anymore. You need to master the skills of a city convict to have a lifestyle Niko Bellic would desire.

On the other side there are some performance issues with the PC version and some visual errors. The keyboard and mouse controls are no match for the PS3 or Xbox controllers. The system requirements are way too high above the sky!.It requires atleast 256 MB latest video card and 20GB hard disk space to have a glimpse at this game. On the whole the game is as good as it is expected to be and these minor limitations are easily forgotten once the game starts!.

Some times much hyped games fail badly and Godfather 2 is the perfect example. Godfather 2 published by Electronic Arts has wasted the license of the most inspiring movie of all times. The storyline wouldn’t come much as a surprise. Even a 5 year old can guess it- start as a stranger, form a gang, destroy rival families, lose your loved ones, run businesses and end as a don.

One positive portion of the game is some parts of the story line where you get to see the movie in a different angle. The game best suits you if you are bored and thirsty for blood. The game is nothing but violence and can be tagged as brutal. You play the role of Mr.Dominic, a prominent member of Corleone family. You are expected to earn a name for yourself and retain the pride of the family. The combat moves are quite interesting against injured enemies and can be finished with some cool looking killer blows.

The gameplay creates a feeling that the game has been released before fully developed and tested. The bugs are countless and irritating. Though the game world is open, the gameplay is very repetitive. Though the player can form a gang and attack the rivals, these gang mates aren’t cooperative and are very random. But that is not going to be a problem as the enemies are too easy to handle. The computer AI sucks totally and so does your gang mates. The visuals are as bad as it could be expected from EA. Adding fuel to the fire the maps are poorly designed and there isn’t a better place for trouble than multiplayer mode.

The attempts made to design a stylish graphics to describe the characters have failed miserably. The path finding in the game world is like solving a maze and tests the patience of the gamers. It is really disappointing to know that the game based on the best movie of all times have failed to revive its glory.

Little Fighter 2 is a very popular Chinese fighting game. The good thing is it is still a freeware for Windows. Due to the over whelming response Little Fighter Online is later released in 2009.

The gameplay doesn’t provide you amazing visuals or animations or graphics but designed well enough to keep you glued to your PC for hours. It supports multiplayer with a total of 4 humans playing on the same keyboard. Online gaming supports a maximum of 8 players.

The game provides many characters and each character have their own special moves such as super kick or firing an arrow. Once the key combinations for the special moves are discovered by the player, the game becomes very exciting. Occasionally you will find items such as baseball bats, boomerangs and knives in the game world that you can employ in fighting. A bottle of beer or milk drops down often and the player can drink them to refill their health and hit points.

Little Fighter 2 has got a variety of game modes. Either the players can fight against themselves in “VS” mode or team together to fight against enemies in ‘stage’ mode. The stage mode contains 5 levels with a ‘Boss fight’ at the end of each level. Championship mode allows the user to create a tournament andBattlemode provides a team based fighting game.

There are 24 characters in total but only 10 are enabled and the rest needs to be unlocked using secret code. Type “lf2.net” in the character selection type to unlock all the hidden characters

I am not sure how long a PC gamer must wait to get hold of an exciting wrestling game for PC. WWE RAW published by THQ have made some effort to satisfy the PC gamers but proved bitterly disappointing.

The only good thing about the game is the detailed visuals of the wrestlers giving importance to the portrayal of minor details such as the wrestlers’ tattoos and the Rock’s eyebrow. However things turn funny once they start walking. It looks very cartoonish and any professional wrestler would hate to see it.

The gameplay is irritating and more than that it is completely confusing. The computer AI counters almost every move and one needs to keep pressings keys till one move is encountered. The gameplay is too slow that it gives a feeling that your system is malfunctioning or a viral attack has been encountered. Adding fuel to this fire, grapple moves which are dominant in any professional wrestling is extremely hard to implement. Even a tired opponent hanging on to the ropes blocks the grapple move which disappoints every wrestling fan. The crowd looks bad and at some camera angles any normal person with an ordinary eyesight could notice that they are just images pasted together.

The gameplay offers different match types such as triple threat, fatal four way and the tornado. The game seriously misses interesting matches such as ladder, hell in a cell and table that the smackdown series offer in console platform. The wrestlers are not updated and superstars like Hulk Hogan, Rob Van Dam etc.

The bottom-line is WWE RAW is no where near its sisterhood SmackDown series and shatters the hopes of PC gamers once again. The gameplay, animations aren’t professional and the absence of character based story lineup makes things worse. If you are a die hard wrestling fan and got no other consoles except your PC, go for it.

Prototype is yet another action packed game giving the player to complete the objectives roaming freely through the city ofManhattan. No one what is so special aboutManhattanthat it is being targeted in so many fiction-based movies and games.

The game begins inManhattanwhere the people are affected by a potentially dangerous viral outbreak and the military are trying their best to put an end to it. You play the game as a protagonist Alex Mercer who has more-than-human powers and special enemy absorbing skills to take on enemies easily. You can take the physical forms of your enemies by absorbing them thus providing multiple ways to complete the game’s objectives.

Alex can perform superman kind of stunts like jumping hundreds of metres high into the sky, run through buildings fighting against gravity and so on. A notable move in combating technique is sliding through the ground using your enemy’s body as surfboard. Alex is gifted with a wide variety of melee attacks and ground fighting techniques that adds variety to the game. This keeps the gamers from feeling bored due to same fighting moves. Also the enemies aren’t easy to kill as in major action games and that makes it more challenging.

Alex’s major power lies in shape transformation. Believe me he can transform himself into a machine of modern weapons as you see in cartoons. The more bio mass Alex uses the more deadly are his attacks. The highest level of attack is called “devastator” which kills an enemy in a single attack by using maximum amounts of bio mass.

The game’s positive is its not-so-complex story line in spite of having very complex logic behind it, variety of missions that need not be accomplished in fixed manner, breath taking combat moves and added additional challenge modes. Though the game is difficult for normal gamers it never irritates as the missions can be accomplished after repeated gaming and trying out different strategies. Except for its dull scenery the game is a must for all PC gamers!

Well it is really amazing how Ubisoft keeps popping up with quality games worth every penny spent. Though Far cry 2 is a sequel it is completely different from its previous version. It offers complete freedom to explore the different parts ofAfrica. It depictsEast Africain the midst of Civil war and various crisis. The goal is to get through all the hindrances on your way through various jungles, deserts and kill ‘The Jackal’ , an arms dealer.

The gameplay is of sandbox type. The player decides the order and the speed of the game. The player can ally with the multiple factions to progress in the game. The health bar is divided into five pieces each of which gets filled when the player takes rest inside cover. Unlike the earlier versions the player can carry first aid kit with him to recover lost health. The kits can also be collected from various boxes throughout the game.

Weapons include modern warfare machinery such as an MGL Grenade Launcher, flame thrower, mortar and also mob items such as Molotov cocktails, RPGs etc. Another innovation is the degradation of the weapons after prolonged use. The player can buy weapons at various gun shops in the game world. Weapons can be stolen from enemies after killing them but they are in poor condition already and hence facilitates only temporary use. The weather changes dynamically and makes the user feel the variable African climate. A map and a GPS are provided to keep track of the locations.

A much more aspect of realism is that the player can acquire illness such as malaria. He needs to swallow one or more pills during gameplay at regular intervals to keep himself fit. Very few games offer such realism these days but this can be a bit irritating at times when done too much.

The game supports online support for multiplayer gaming. The user can create their own maps in the map editor and use them to play online too! One negative aspect is the poor audio performance in PC.Also some times the saved games get corrupted. So make sure you take a backup of them regularly.

Weapon has its own plus and minus. Some may backfire on you. Choosing the weapons in the right order and in the right positions is the key to win. Attacking the opponent earns points. After 20 shots(10 each) the player with the highest point wins. The timely use of defensive weapons once a stable scored is reached permits easy win. Unlike humans the computer AI uses the powerful weapons that yield greater points in the beginning and switches to defensive ones at the end.

The game’s collector edition is very cheaper to buy and it contains the actual deluxe version along with the expansion packs. Recently the game has been released for Apple’s iPod and iPhone and continues to amuse the gamers.

The Left 4 Dead is similar to Resident Evil 4 where you fight against groups of zombies. But the major difference is you can play either as a survivor or an infected savage itself! .It is good to see Electronic Arts coming up with such thrilling edge-of-the-seat games too.

The game is too fun when played as a zombie where you coordinate your zombie group and ambush the survivors. This game is quite fast paced and possesses four campaigns each having five levels. You will face a lot of affected villages in each level facing zombies after zombies. The theme and the visual effects are so appealing that we forget the logic behind the game.

The best part of the game is playing with your team mates. The characters of your fellow survivors are so well portrayed throughout the game. Their combat skills are amazing and you need to match with them. They rescue you when you are in danger. What is interesting is their character changes dynamically based on the scenarios. They become agitated and fearful when low on health. The designers have given importance to even small details such as the face reaction, morale and strength of the characters. The team play is so good that the other characters notify you by shouting whenever they find health and weapon packages and sometimes may even pick them for you if you are in enemy’s trap. But these characters lack in strategic defense and rarely use explosives.

The game is enjoyed to its fullest when played in multiplayer mode. Just like Counter Strike two teams can compete against each other. The only difference is instead of terrorists and counter terrorists we have survivors and infected savages. It is possible to implement planned strategies in multiplayer mode. Survivors’ goal is to progress through each campaigns and the infected team has to find and kill them before they progress enough. However at the end of each level, the teams switch sides and play again. The team with higher cumulative points wins the game.

On the whole Left 4 Dead will be definitely liked by the every PC gamers and combines the formula of Counter Strike and Resident Evil in an entirely different game world.

The game has got a variety to offer. The player is free to roam throughout theParadisecity. The game has got 75 plus vehicles to be unlocked one by one as you play a series of single player events. Besides cars this game offers BIKES too! For the first time in the series two-wheeler racing has been introduced in Burnout series. However the usual crash modes and after touch take downs will be missed badly by the series lovers. The addition of bikes to this game has been a major uplift to this series. Bikes are too fast to handle and hence boost mode is not available with bikes. Like cars in NFS bikes wont take damage. The fans are assured of having a really fantastic time with the bikes and two more advanced level bikes can be unlocked as the game progresses to add more excitement. These bikes are too hot that sometimes it gives a silly impression about the high speed cars.

Unlike other games the PC version is actually much better than i
ts console versions. There are no performance issues or visual degradation or very high system requirements. The game can be played at the highest resolution possible with no lags and the visuals are a feast especially when the cars take damage. TheParadisecity is very appealing with its weather effects. However the weather effects are more felt in bikes with day and night shifts. Neon lights flashing through night rains were once just the dream of PC gamers.

Another boost to this game is top quality audio that includes some lovely collected noises of dashing cars and flying bikes. Besides this traffic noises and sound effects for weather changes too have been added to this edition. This makes the gamers to feel like being driven. With pretty good online and multiplayer support this game is sure to capture the hearts of all PC gamers.

Medal of Honor Airborne is the eleventh game in the Medal of Honor series. EA Sports published this game for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. This version of the game focuses only on the activities of paratroopers. The game world is based on World War 2.

The gameplay is non-linear in which it’s the gamer who decides where to start unlike the earlier versions. The player selects the point on the map where to land to start the mission. This adds some strategy to this well designed action game. You play the role of Boyd Travers, a paratrooper in the US army. The gamer need not worry about the controls because Airborne comes up with a training session just before the game starts to get used to the basic controls and parachuting. The game involves Boyd Travers being dropped into various regions of Germany, France and Italy to complete his objectives and return back safely.

The gameplay is open ended where the gamer decides where to land. The player can land directly into the enemy camps and face a heavy attack or land to into predefined areas where he can meet with allies and get supplies. If good at sniping the player can land in tall buildings and snipe out the enemy troops. The cross hair for firing is dynamic that adds realism to this game. It enlarges when the player is running or jumping. Crouching gives better accuracy to take out the opposition.

The health bar is divided into 4 parts. If a part is completely lost health regeneration pack is need. If partially lost, it automatically gets refilled if the play takes cover. The game has got a good selection of age old weapons such as Thompson SMG and Garand rifle.

The game is better enjoyed in multiplayer mode where the player can be a part of either allies or axis. Allies are paratroopers and need to capture the enemy colonies while the latter start their campaign on the ground and defend their areas. Medal of Honor Airborne is definitely a refreshing face of the series and the series fans wont be disappointed for sure.
